Studies

by Jacky Luna

Here, Luna’s instinct turns methodical. From 14 she focused on hands and feet, sketching her own limbs, relatives, and found images to master gesture and tension. Pencil, color pen, and soft pastel trace each curve repeatedly—not for perfection, but for emotional fluency. These restrained studies, modest in scale yet meditative in tone, show the discipline that underlies her later work: the conviction that even the smallest fragment can carry profound weight.
